Plagiarism is taken very seriously at MIT and in the United States.
Academic Integrity
Do’s and Don’t’s:
Academic Resources
Writing and Communication Center
If you need assistance with a writing assignment or paper, especially if English is not your native language, the Writing and Communication Center (WCC) is there to help!
Visit their website for more info. Please go to mit.mywconline.com to register for the WCC’s online scheduler, and get important information about appointments.
Writing, Rhetoric, and Professional Communication (WRAP)
WRAP teaches the foundational writing subjects (CI-HWs) in CMS/W, and collaborates with MIT faculty and departments to teach written, oral, and visual communication to over 4000 students a year in more than 100 communication-intensive subjects. We also teach both semester-long subjects and specialized workshops on a variety of communication topics for graduate students in a variety of departments. Find out more at the WRAP website.
Student Conduct
All student expectations are found in the Mind and Hand Book. It is each student’s responsibility to understand all expectations both in the classroom and laboratory, as well as in the community.
For example, any kind of harassment is taken very seriously.
